Our latest interview is with Lori Rogers, who leads MomentumYes, an exciting mission mobilisation organisation. Their free, 6-part video course is quickly spreading all around the world to over 50 nations, with multiple language translations in the pipeline! We had a great discussion, and discovered that we share the same heart - that every Christian […]
Dr Mary Ho serves as the International Executive Leader of All Nations International, a global Christian missions organization. In this current role, Dr. Ho provides leadership and direction for All Nations which has grown to four hubs and 400 cross-cultural workers in more than 40 countries. This is a wonderful interview, that is a little different […]
For security reasons, we can't show you Greg and Lisa's faces. But they have a story that is well-worth hearing. After serving unreached people in China, they were interrogated by the Chinese Police, and forced to leave. They have moved to Cape Town in South Africa, where they now serve refugees. These faithful servants of […]
David Howard Adeney (1911-1994) served with the China Inland Mission (CIM) as a missionary in China. But that was only part of what he did. I am amazed at the number of changes that took place in his life, and how he waited on the Lord each time and saw the Lord birth something […]
D. E. Hoste (Dixon Edward Hoste, 1861-1946) was the odd man out amongst the Cambridge Seven. He was included in the group although he never studied at Cambridge, rather studying at the Royal Military Academy. Hoste later took over the leadership of the China Inland Mission (CIM) in 1902 when Hudson Taylor stepped down and […]
George Verwer died on April 14th, as I write only 8 short days ago. John Piper said that George’s “personal and global influence was inestimable” and that he was “one of the greatest missions leaders of the last one hundred years”. George deserves a second look. I wrote the facts of his life in a […]
George Patterson (1920-2012) went out as a missionary to Tibet with Geoffrey Bull in 1947. Though they began together, they went in very different directions. I wrote recently about how Bull was captured and imprisoned by the Communists, accused of being a British spy. After Bull’s release and departure from China, he remained a missionary, […]
MBE Missionary to Hong Kong since 1966 Founder of the St Stephen's Society
Ross & Christine’s training and ministry have always had a biblical base, integrity and practicality. This material meets a need vital for the mission field and use on the ground. It will help to make Jesus known in different cultures.

Founder and former International Director Operation Mobilization
I have followed Ross since his student days at Cambridge when he also joined OM for a short time. I have seen God using him and his wife in wonderful ways and their commitment to China is outstanding. They have a teaching ministry that has impacted many lives and you will be blessed as you take time to read and listen.

The Patersons have been a lifelong inspiration to me in laying down their lives for the call to cross-cultural missions. I cannot think of any better training available on the web than FieldPartner, which is the synthesis of their five decades of learning on the ground as authentic practitioners.

Before going on a short mission trip to China, I learned a lot at the Barnabas School of Missions, which was built by the Antioch Missions founder Ross Paterson and his wife Christine. The program provides training to challenge us to want to see God glorified among the nations. Ross and Christine’s 48 years of mission experiences taught me how to do it - and how not to do it!
"I am a huge fan of cross culture training before hitting the mission field... I would go as far as to say is absolutely the difference between being successful and lasting out long-term on the mission field and burning out within a short period of time and having to head back home"

...a total revelation for me and it helps to explain some of my past struggles in cross-cultural experiences. As I've been exposed to several cultures, I often wonder what's my true identity and have this constant longing for a sense of belonging, while at the same time I appreciate the fact the exposure has made me more adaptable...Thank you!

That was excellent and very insightful...I need to think on this more, a lot more! So much to take in and think over in this module. This should be part of all church discipleship programmes.
